The Delaware River dredging project remains controversial as states, including Delaware, and environmental agencies have filed lawsuits accusing the federal government of failing to conduct proper studies on the environmental effects of dredging the Delaware River’s main shipping channel while the real economic benefits of the project remain in doubt as well.
